Belfast Event to Debate Historic AV Referendum
On Thursday, 21st April, Belfast Skeptics in the Pub will chair a debate between Stephen Glenn, the campaign manager for YES! To Fairer Votes Northern Ireland and Brian Wilson MLA from the No2AV campaign.
The upcoming referendum on May 5th will be an unprecedented opportunity for the UK public to change how Westminster elections will be held; continue with First Past the Post or change to Alternative Vote.

Lesley Storey, Psychologist, to address Belfast Skeptics
Dr. Lesley Storey, lecturer and researcher in Queen’s University Belfast, will be speaking to a group of skeptics today (Thursday 2nd December) about myths in popular psychology. Dr. Storey lectures in a number of areas in the School of Psychology in Queen’s, including in research methods. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place upstairs in the Club Room at the Parlour Bar from 6pm.

David Meade to Wow Skeptics – Released 2nd November 2010 
David Meade, Belfast’s own mind-reader, will be joining a local skeptic group this coming Saturday for an evening of mind-reading, psychic phenomena and critical thinking. The self-taught professional uses the power of persuasion and manipulation to wow audiences through naming, drawing and number games. Described as “the Province’s answer to Derren Brown”, David Meade also has a forthcoming series on BBC, to air in 2011.
